My daughter is turning 3 and switching from a crib to a "big girl bed." We got terrific bumpers (also on Amazon) to keep her from falling out, but I bought this step stool so she can easily climb up and down from the bed. She adores it and was climbing up and down for hours. Besides this, she loves sitting on the top step and discussion or before a live audience, and there is a little storage bin on top which sensibly only opens halfway so a child cannot mistake an open top for a step and fall down. But above and beyond all this, the step stool is simply beautiful- hand-painted and gorgeous delicate pastels, the sort of detail that makes a room. It only took my husband a fleeting time to assemble and over-all it is a tremendous success, well worth the money and I highly recommend it.
